Skipstone is a boutique winery in Alexander Valley, Sonoma County. Their exclusive wines are only distributed to club members and now via purple cork. Skipstone’s winemaker, Philippe Melka, is a world-renowned rockstar, having honed his craft at some of the world’s top wine estates (Haut Brion, Petrus, Dominus) before settling in Napa in 1994.
Before the tasting, purple cork will send you the wine and two paired cheeses from the Point Reyes Farmstead Cheese Company, with gourmet crackers. Everything will be delivered to your door—easy!
The Wine: 2018 Skipstone Oliver's Blend
100% Cabernet Sauvignon. This is an extraordinary Cab. The 2018 vintage was a winemaker’s dream, with a long, cool growing season. This wine speaks to the soul of Skipstone and reflects the terroir of their hillside Las Rocas Vineyard, which you’ll get to see on the Zoom!
