Rare Aussie Wine Tasting with Reid Bosward
Friday, June 11th
4:00 PM PT | 7:00 PM ET
We’re going to Australia, virtually! Join us to visit Clare Valley and Barossa Valley wine regions to taste rare wines from the Clare Wine Co and Kaesler. We’ll be joined by Kaesler’s winemaker himself, Reid Bosward, tuning in live from Australia.
Reid Bosward has a wine making career that spans more than 30 years. In 2000 he and his business partners purchased the Kaesler Estate and secured some outstanding old vine vineyards dating back to 1893 and 1899, some of the largest holdings of eighteenth century plantings in the world. Since this time he has been chief winemaker and has overseen the development of Kaesler in the Barossa and its portfolio of single vineyard old vine estate labels.
Exclusively for purple cork, Reid is digging into the library to bring us two older wines from 2012 and 2013 (sold out everywhere!), plus a light and refreshing Riesling to kick us off.
Your kit includes one full bottle and two half bottles:
2019 Clare Valley Riesling, 750ml
2013 Kaesler Avignon (Grenache/Mourvèdre), 375ml
2012 Kaesler The Bogan Shiraz, 375ml (Kaesler’s flagship Shiraz—we’re in for a treat!)
Optional snack pairing from Point Reyes Farmstead Cheese Company.
For Boston tasters, Chef Gina from Farfalle (Concord, MA) is offering one of her famous antipasti platters that you can pick up on tasting day.
