How Auth0 Accelerates Business Relationships with purple cork
We recently sat down with Jenna, Senior Regional Marketing Manager at Auth0, the leading authentication platform, to chat about her experience with purple cork. Auth0 engages purple cork to host monthly virtual wine tastings for their prospects and customers. It’s been a real treat for us getting to know Jenna and her sales team, helping them build relationships over some delicious boutique wines.
We asked Jenna 8 “quick-fire” questions about her experience, and of course, her go-to bottle of wine…enjoy!
1) “In 10 words or less, what does Auth0 do?”
Jenna: Whether you’re a developer looking to innovate or a security professional looking to mitigate, we make identity work for everyone.
2) “How did you get into marketing, specifically event marketing?”
Jenna: I had been at Auth0 for about 2 years and working in operations when I was approached about the idea of working on the marketing team as an events manager. When opportunities are a little scary, and pull you from your comfort zone, they typically turn out to be the best ones to say yes to, so I took a chance and here I am!
3) “How did you first hear about purple cork?”
Jenna: I heard about purple cork from a co-worker who had been invited to a purple cork event. I looked it up, and the rest is history!
4) “How is purple cork different, and most importantly, have you fostered stronger relationships with your customers and closed some deals?”
Jenna: Having the opportunity to group specific people together, and invite members from our internal team to join has been a great way to accelerate our relationships. Sometimes putting away the "shop talk" and having an experience with people can be great for a business relationship!
We also get amazing feedback on the wineries we use, especially Red Car! Having Tanner [Scheer, Red Car’s winemaker] on our calls, there is just something about him, and we get told all the time how cool the experience was!
5) “Do you think you’ll continue virtual events post covid?”
Jenna: I think we will, yes. It's going to be interesting to see what happens to the world in the next year or so, but I also think there will always be something about being able to drink wine in your living room and also feel like you're transported somewhere else...
6) “How would you describe purple cork to another event/field marketer?”
Jenna: purple cork is great from top to bottom. Awesome collaboration, communication and overall service. Kelly is a marketer at heart, so she understands what value should come from an event—and she's fun to work with in general!
7) “What is your favorite thing about purple cork?”
Jenna: The wineries they work with are fantastic. Some have said the Pinot Noir from Red Car is the best red they've ever tasted! And the communication and collaboration are top notch. Kelly and her team are just great!
8) “What is your go-to bottle of wine? (bonus points if you’ve had it on a purple cork tasting!)”
Jenna: The Red Car rose is my jam!! #porchpounder
