The new ultra premium offering, Alacran XA, is made from 100% Weber Blue agave between 7 and 10 years old which is harvested in the highlands of Los Altos in Jalisco. It is matured for 40 months in American Oak ex-Bourbon barrels, and offers “fruity and oak” flavours with a “Cognac” finish that is “dry, smooth, full bodied, and warm”.
The juice inside the bottle is made from espadin agave that's a minimum of six years old. Once harvested, that agave is cooked underground for four days to bring out all those natural sugars.

Steven Maduro is renowned as one of the top bartenders in the country. He has been in the food and beverage industry since the age of 16 and has worked at some of Sonoma county's premiere bars, such as Spoonbar and Duke's; the latter of which he was a co-founder and partner in for five years. His passion for making great drinks led him to joining forces with Barrel Brothers and heading up their distilled spirits and cocktail program.When Steven isn't working he likes to spend his time camping with his family, while enjoying a craft cocktail of course.
