purple cork featured by Melanie Ofenloch (Dallas Wine Chick)
It’s always such a treat when wine industry veterans join our virtual tastings. They are tough critics, as they should be! We were so flattered to have Melanie Ofenloch join our recent Red Car Rosé Release Party with Red Car’s rockstar winemaker Tanner Scheer.
Melanie is the founder and editor of Dallas Wine Chick, a blog focused on the experience of wine, which has been named in the top 100 global wine blogs by two separate entities. She also has been named LUX Magazine’s Top Wine Blog in Texas and is a guest contributor to Snooth.
Melanie wrote up her highlights from the tasting experience, including thoughts on purple cork’s tasting tables (breakout rooms) and access to the actual winemaker. She says, “I haven’t seen the small group chat used before in wine and that provided an intimacy that I haven’t seen in events prior. And as a consumer, how cool is it to interact with the winemaker?” We agree!
